Ontario’s iGaming sector has reached a new milestone, with gross gaming revenue (GGR) totaling CA$338 million in May 2025 — setting a new all-time high and reflecting a robust 40% year-over-year growth.
According to data from iGaming Business (iGB), CA$259.8 million of this figure was generated by online casino gaming, solidifying its position as the primary revenue driver. Meanwhile, sports betting and peer-to-peer poker continue to grow steadily, further diversifying the province’s regulated market.
This performance underscores the maturity, resilience, and scalability of Ontario’s regulated iGaming ecosystem, which has rapidly evolved into one of the most dynamic in North America. Strong consumer trust in licensed operators, combined with regulatory clarity and operator innovation, continue to fuel this upward trend.
As Ontario attracts more international brands and technology partners, experts forecast continued momentum through 2025 and beyond — with the market potentially surpassing CA$4 billion in annual revenue in the near future.
